Home Run Hangout at Uwajimaya

In partnership with MLB All Star Week, my client, Uwajimaya, requested a community event that would draw baseball fans into the Chinatown-International District and encourage support of the local businesses. In just a few months, I managed all vendor contributions, from small business retail booths to performers, organized the permitting and market layout, and collaborated with Blanton Turner Creative to strategize a marketing campaign, including guerrilla marketing and geofencing.

I also led all efforts in designing the event schedule, communicating with major Seattle agencies such as the Mariners, SDOT/OED, Seattle Sports Commission, etc.

The Home Run Hangout at Uwajimaya brought 24+ local businesses into the MLB spotlight and celebrated the culture of the neighborhood through art and performances. With takeaway gifts, including coupons to nearby businesses and donated swag from the Mariners, several patrons were quoted to have love for the community and plans to return.
